There is something peaceful and calming about spending time in nature. Whether you’re walking through a forest filled with towering trees and rustling leaves, or spending a day at the lake fishing, being surrounded by plants and wildlife is a great way to de-stress and forget that there is civilisation beyond the hills.
Seasonal Wildflowers are a special part of nature in the alpines. Each flower is unique, with its own delicate beauty. They can be found in many different places, from meadows and fields to the sides of roads and hiking trails.
We are located close to many of the attractions in the area such as Yarrangobilly Caves, Blue Waterholes, Snowy Hydro power stations, historic Kiandra, Currango Homestead, Mt Kosciuszko and the towns of Old Adaminaby, Talbingo, Cabramurra, Tumut, and Cooma.
The newly rebuilt Selwyn Snow Resort is only 25 minutes’ drive from the park and offers Australia’s best family-friendly skiing here in the Snowy Mountains. Selwyn is the only ski field located in the Northern end of the Kosciuszko National Park.
Selwyn is the perfect place to take the whole family skiing. There is plenty of space for the kids to learn to ski, toboggan, or simply play in the snow. Selwyn Snow Resort also has a terrain park for snowboarders and a tubing park for those who want to have some fun without skiing or boarding.
